"Our school will be open for all students," school principal Ken McNamara told parents in a social media post last Friday.
"We hope all families make the decision to send their children back to school for face to face learning with their classroom teacher, however, we understand if you choose to continue to assist your child with their learning from home," Mr McNamara said.
The school, Mr McNamara said, will be putting in place extra guidelines for students, parents and staff to follow, to ensure all are kept as safe as possible.
Mr McNamara said all members of staff supported the move as did the Director of Bathurst Diocesan Schools, Christina Trimble and Parish Priest Laurie Beath..
"We are very aware that each family has their own concerns and thoughts regarding a return to school, however, we believe in the best interests of all students and families we see a return to face to face learning as an important one," Mr McNamara said.
Parents have been sent guidelines to assist students returning to school full time.
