Payten is based out of Sydney, where she currently resides but went to school in Canowindra where she was born in 1992.
"My second album, 'Our Two Skins' is out June 26," Payten, who uses the stage name Gordi, said via her social media account.
Her new album has a real Canowindra flavour with the songs for it recorded there and some videos also shot in the town.
"I made it with my friends Zach Hanson and Chris Messina in a cottage on my family's farm in Canowindra in the space of four weeks," Gordi said.
"No running water, no wifi; just a field recorder, a wasp-filled stereo and the 13 road cases of gear that Zach and Chris flew with from Wisconsin, which all got lost on the flights over, then found again.
The opening song of the album 'Aeroplane Bathroom', was released on March 23 and is currently available for download online.
"It gets to the heart of this record; the isolation and connection and the way these two states of being intertwine," said said.
"Strangely the world is feeling the heavy burden of this paradox right now in a very literal way.
"What allows us to move from feeling isolated to being connected is a shared experience.

Volcanic, another track from the new album was released earlier this month.
"At a piano in a warehouse on a river in Berlin beside the old East Germany broadcast centre, I finished writing 'Volcanic'," she said.
"I had written the lyrics while I was in Stockholm about the warring states I sometimes find myself in; shutting down and exploding.
"I thought of a volcano - sitting dormant, appearing as though all is calm while ferociously bubbling to the surface and spilling over before you have time to process what has happened.
The video for 'Volcanic' was made in Canowinda.
"My talented friend Madeleine Purdy directed it on a 43-degree-celcius day," Gordi said.
