Visitor restrictions continue to apply to all hospitals and multipurpose services in the Western NSW Local Health District (WNSWLHD), including Cowra Hospital.

WNSWLHD Chief Executive Scott McLachlan said that while some other COVID-19 measures were easing as of Friday, May 15, visitor restrictions remained in place for now in all local hospitals and MPS facilities.
The current advice for visitors is:
- One visitor per patient at any time
- Maximum of two visitors per person per day for residents in MPS facilities
- All visitors undergo temperature testing and screening on arrival
- All visitors to residents of MPS facilities must show they have received a 2020 influenza vaccine
- Children under the age of 18 cannot visit.
"This year we face the double threat of needing to contain both COVID-19 and influenza, so the measure relating to influenza vaccination, which is required under a NSW Public Health Order, is very important," Mr McLachlan said.

Visitors will need to show some form of vaccination evidence to local staff.
This could be a statement from their doctor, their Medicare immunisation record or they could use the Express Plus Medicare app.
Local rules may apply so please follow the instructions of your health service team.
Even if you're not visiting one of our facilities, please continue to practice social distancing and hand hygiene.
"We want to keep our communities healthy and safe," Mr McLachlan said.
"We are urging anyone experiencing symptoms like those you might experience with a cold or hay-fever - a sore or scratchy throat, a cough, shortness of breath, or fever, should get tested for COVID-19."
