
The 2020 Canowindra Show has been cancelled due to "uncertainty around the COVID-19 pandemic", the committee has announced.

Making the announcement on social media on Tuesday afternoon, the committee thanked everyone for their support during difficult times.
"The Canowindra P A & H Association regrets to advise that due to the uncertainty around the COVID-19 pandemic our 2020 Canowindra Show to be held on the 25th & 26th of September will be cancelled," the committee said.
"The Committee would like to take this opportunity to thank all the on going Volunteers, Stewards and Sponsor's for their continued support and we look forward to working with you all next year for the 2021 Canowindra Show, 24th & 25th of September."
The committee also noted a number of upgrades are taking place at Canowindra Showground.
"There are also a lot of changes taking place at the showground. Upgrade to the Cobley Pavilion and Poultry Shed, resurfacing of the grandstand, three new Toilet amenities," they said.
"Upgrades are also taking place in the tearooms... The Canowindra Show committee would like to thank the Canowindra Showgrounds, Racecourse, Recreational Land Managers committee for their ongoing efforts taken to upgrade the showground."
A number of other agricultural shows in the region have been called off this year due to coronavirus, including Orange and Dubbo.
While plans are in place to hold shows in Cowra, Forbes, Parkes, Grenfell, Young, Woodstock and Morongla at this stage, confirmations will be made later in the year.
