Figures from last Wednesday's sale (September 2) suggest Cr Wright is on the mark with lamb numbers up 2480 on the previous week.
Wednesday's total yarding was 8870 sheep and lambs, more than the yarding at Carcoar on the same day.
There were mainly trade and heavy weights penned while the light grades were very limited in supply.
All the buyers were present and operating along with two extra and competition was solid resulting in a firm to slightly dearer market.
Restockers sold for $115/head while medium and heavy trade weight new season lambs were $2 to $4/head dearer and averaged from 660c to 690c/kg cwt.
Most of the heavy trade weights 23 to 24kg sold from $153 to $161/head.
Heavy weight new season were firm to a couple dollars dearer and averaged from 615c to 630c/kg cwt.
The heavy weight lambs sold from $158 to $166, while the extra heavy new seasons sold from $165 to $171/head.
Heavy weight old lambs averaged from 550c to 590c/kg cwt, with the over 30kg lambs selling from $178 to $192/head.
Cr Wright said the change had already attracted extra support.
