The Panuara native has been named on the bench in the Sydney Roosters' outfit which will face two-times defending champions the Brisbane Broncos in Sunday's decider.

The Roosters are certainly the underdogs given the Broncos have only lost once since the inception of the NRLW in 2018, but if the Bondi club could spring an upset it would see Hamilton snare a unique premiership double.

While COVID-19 meant Rugby Australia was forced to cancelled this season's Super W finals series, Hamilton had led the NSW Waratahs to an undefeated minor premiership and as such, they were declared champions.

Hamilton's performances at Number 8 saw her named the Waratahs' Super W player of the year.

With the Australian women's rugby union side, which Hamilton also skippers, having a number of Test matches cancelled due to COVID, she made the decision to play in the NRLW to maintain some match fitness.

She made her debut off the bench in round two against the Warriors, while last week Hamilton started as prop against the Broncos in a match the Roosters lost 24-16.

Hamilton averaged six hit-ups across those two games, has made an impressive 52.1 post-contact metres and has a 82.2 percent tackling efficiency.

Roosters coach Jamie Feeney knows the Broncos, who have won their two grand finals against the Roosters and Dragons by a combined margin of 64-18, will be tough to beat but said his players are not daunted by their rivals' imposing record.

"They've won all the competitions ... they're not underdogs, no-one believes that," Feeney said.

"I don't think any of the girls are intimidated by it but know they have to turn up to beat the Broncos."

Hamilton will wear jumper #16 in the decider, which will kick-off at 4.05pm at Sydney's ANZ Stadium.
