Not just for the downturn in new cases (eight new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 revealed today), but also for the thoroughly amazing response of the community and the Duracell bunny-like health workers. A record-breaking 44,000 tests were taken in 24 hours.
One of today's cases remains under investigation, that of a quarantine nurse involved in the transfer of patients at the international airport.
And while we're talking quarantine, federal Chief Medical Officer Paul Kelly admitted that allowing air crews to self-quarantine "hasn't worked completely well".
NSW has now ordered international aircrew into police-supervised quarantine arrangements at two hotels.
Prof Kelly also said a meeting of the nation's chief health officers had decided against suspending flights from the UK to protect against a new strain of COVID-19 there. That's in line with World Health Organisation advice which said the new, highly infectious variant of the coronavirus was a normal part of a pandemic's evolution.
That said if you thought NSW was isolated domestically ... think of the UK.
More than 40 countries worldwide have imposed restrictions on travel from the UK. The Republic of Ireland has banned visits from the British mainland, while continuing to allow entry from Northern Ireland.
And worse still is expected. Boris Johnson's chief scientific adviser has warned the nation to brace for a further tightening of coronavirus restrictions, the Independent reported.
Oh, and one more thing - that bushfire that scorched its way through just about half of the World Heritage-listed Fraser Island, remember that? Four men have been charged.
Turns out rangers found a campfire covered in sand but still radiating heat which had set fire to nearby scrub. The men were not considered responsible for the fire that tore through 87,000 hectares of the island but were charged with lighting an unauthorised fire.
