Library staff are encouraging kids from across the Central West to borrow a copy of How to Make a Movie in 12 Days by Fiona Hardy and join in a library adventure.
The book tells the story of Hayley Whelan, a suburban 11-year-old and amateur filmmaker who has all the ingredients of a great movie - a thrilling horror screenplay, a spooky set, high quality props and a stellar actress.
As she and her friends embark on their tight film schedule, however, things do start to go wrong. Is someone trying to sabotage her movie?
The stage is set for a great read, and the libraries are offering children the chance to engage with the book and the author in coming weeks.
There's a meeting with the author via video link, filmmaking and animation workshops, tricky trivia and the chance to see your short film at a special screening.
