The Thunder community cricket team will host a program at Canowindra Sports Complex on Wednesday, January 20, from 9am-3pm.
The Woolworths Cricket Blast holiday sessions are entry level cricket programs with an emphasis on fun and participation.
Youngsters will participate in action packed sessions to develop batting, bowling and fielding skills under the tutelage of qualified community cricket coaches in a COVID-safe environment.
Cricket in NSW is booming amongst women and girls and at the school holiday programs girls will be grouped in all-girls groups where possible.
All cricket equipment will be provided by Cricket NSW and each participant will receive a Cricket Blast Pack with a ball, activity booklet, water bottle and drawstring bag.
The cost of the day is $45.
Sydney Thunder captain Callum Ferguson said the holiday program was the perfect way for kids to get a taste of cricket this summer school holidays.
"The Thunder Holiday Programs are an awesome way for kids to have a great time learning the basics of cricket or improving the skills they already have," Ferguson said.
"The coaches are experienced, and I love that they make sure every child gets a fair go.
"It's a great way for children to be active, make friends and to get involved in a great sport."
