Following the running of three heats last weekend, which were won by Bruhaha, Cuzin Pat and Shes The Other One respectively, there is a 10 horse field for the event that features two locally trained hopes.
Bruhaha is the highest rated runner in the field and has been very consistent of late; recording three consecutive second placings before last weekend's 12. metre win in 1:59.3.
Given that high rating, he'll start on the outside of the second row.
That's unlikely to bother his trainer, and driver, Nathan Turnbull; who expertly guided Bruhaha to a scintillating victory in his heat from the tail of the field before being trapped three wide.
Turnbull also has Courage Lips in the final after she was second to Cuzin Pat in the Clarinda Park IT Heat; though the mare has a tricky draw and need a lot of luck to go her way.
Turnbull has a very strong book of six rides, and has five runners engaged in the meeting; with Bruhaha clearly the pick of the bunch.
The two local hopes in the $8000 final are Be Good Benny, trained by Alectown's Stan Townsend and Cuzin Pat - who will be gunning for three upset victories in a row after causing a boilover last Sunday.
Cuzin Pat, trained by James Clyburn, has won his past two starts at $23 and $34 respectively with Nathan Hurst in the gig and cannot be discounted at an each-way price in this open field.
Be Good Benny was no match for Bruhaha in their heat last Sunday, but the gelding had no luck getting caught well back in the field before covering the field from three wide.
If Nathan Townsend can roll forward and sit one-out, one-back on the Mr Feelgood x Benazir Bhutto three-year-old, he'll be every chance.
Three maiden races will close out the meeting, giving spectators, trainers and participants the chance to eyeball some budding superstars.
Of particular interest will be first starter Eagle Art, a Fly Like An Eagle x Lombo Mona Lisa filly, trained by Dubbo's Gary Edwards, who won a trial on Tuesday in smart time.
The first race this Sunday will kick off at 5.43pm, with the Final running at 6.42pm.
