The Cabonne region will soon benefit from a new project that will deliver local infrastructure improvements and help the community thrive, thanks to the NSW Government's $50 million Resources for Regions round seven.

NSW Nationals Upper House MP, Sam Farraway on Monday announced $1,826,747 to construct a new amenities block and spectator seating at Canowindra Oval.
Mr Farraway said the Oval, as it is affectionately known by Canowindra residents, hosts a variety of events across a broad variety of user groups and the upgrades would only enhance the functionality, safety and appeal of the venue.
"This project will enable Canowindra to host events on a larger scale through hosting events and enabling local clubs to invite others from around the Central West to play at the oval - having a flow on effect throughout the region and the local economy," Mr Farraway said.
"It is projects like this that will bring new opportunities to the Cabonne region and will provide locals of all abilities, genders and ages better access to local sporting competition and facilities."
Cabonne mayor Kevin Beatty welcomed the announcement.
"This project has been a high priority for Canowindra and the hard working Canowindra Sports Trust for many years.
"Council can now get to work in partnership with the Canowindra Sports Trust and deliver a high quality facility to the local community as well as all the wider regions sports teams," Cr Beatty said.
New spectator undercover seating will accommodate 210 people.
The development will include two change rooms with four showers and two toilets in each; a female toilet including four cubicles; a male toilet including two toilets and a urinal; a unisex/disabled/baby change room; a referee's room with an additional shower and toilet; a new canteen/bar with a kitchen and store room; a multipurpose room, a cleaner/utility room; medical/first aid room; an administration office and; an additional store room with external access. The air conditioned building will include a modern canteen kitchen with new appliances.
