He combined with Kosta Barbarouses for a quick one-to-two to have him one-on-one with the Western goalkeeper Ryan Scott, who he calmly slotted past to make it 2-0.
The goal marked Grant's first A-League goal since scoring in the Sky Blues 1-0 extra-time win over Melbourne City in the grand final last August.
On playing the game, the 30-year-old, Canowindra-born defender became the ninth player to reach 200 games in the competition's history, with only 222-cap Alex Brosque making more appearances for the Sky Blues.
