The Services Club is the event's major community sponsor, donating $20,000 towards the Balloon Challenge.
Canowindra Services Club Event and Admin manager, Julie Fleidner, said it was all about balloons this week.
"The Club is Balloon Headquarters for the week of competition, with briefings taking place in the Community Hall each morning and afternoon," she said.
As such, there are plenty of activities for both locals and visitors coming along to check out the spectacle throughout the week.
While the main event may be the Cabonne Country Balloon Glow on Saturday, May 1, the club will be hosting the after party.
"There will be an ACDC Thunderstruck tribute show on after the Balloon Glow," Mrs Fleidner said.
To ensure everyone has a fun and safe night out, the Services Club will be offering up a $5 taxi subsidy each way for anyone in town limits catching the cab to the club and/or home again.
The club also provides a perfect, family friendly atmosphere throughout the week, with the restaurant open for lunch and dinner all week, featuring daily specials and the always popular Friday Night Meat raffles.
Gaskill Street will light up this year, with a week full of activities planned for the Balloon Challenge.
This includes a street parade, shopping and entertainment, kicking off from 9am on Saturday, May 1.
