The young Tigers retained their position on top of the ladder with a narrow 24-22 win over Cargo.
In the Sunday morning sun, the game got off to a rocky start with both sides toing and froing for the first 15 minutes.
The Tigers were unable to control the ball and kept giving it back to Cargo, putting themselves under pressure.
The first try came just after the first drinks break with Cargo putting points on the board to lead 4-0.
While playing good football in patches, the Tigers did well up the other end to score a try, but they continued to made a few mistakes, letting Cargo in again and taking the score to 10-4.
Following on shortly after, Daniel Hatch moved the ball out to the left and barged his way over to make the score 10-8 Cargo's way at half time.
As the second half got underway, the Tigers were still having a bit of trouble controlling of the ball.
A couple of easy penalties allowed Cargo to go down the field and put on a converted try taking the score to 16-8 after just five minutes.
The Tigers comeback began when Cargo had a penalty 10 metres out from their line and lost it on the first tackle.
From the scrum, Canowindra spun the ball out wide behind the winger and Connor Munroe crossed the strip five metres in from the corner.
A Luke Wheeler conversion took the score to 16-14, with 20 minutes to go.
After a few penalties the Tigers way, Saxon Southwell attacked the line and reached out to put the ball down under the posts and, with Wheeler adding the extras, Canowindra went four points ahead and took the lead for the first time in the match.
An ill-disciplined Cargo, off the back of a couple of penalties, allowed for a few beautiful hit-ups by Ky Obyrne and Hatch.
This was followed by some nice back line movement and a beautiful pass out wide by Eli Reid put Wheeler over in the corner.
Unable to convert his own try, the scoreline stretched to 16-24 with 10 minutes to go.
The final points of the match went Cargo's way after the Tigers gave away on offside penalty for not being back the 10.
Some very soft defence allowed Cargo to go straight through and score under the post giving an easy conversion to take the score to 22-24 with four minutes to go.
This weekend the Tigers will take all three grades to Molong.
The youth league side will kick proceedings off at 11.20am in a top of the table clash.
This will be followed by the league tag side at 12.40pm. This will be another significant game with the third placed tigresses, fourth placed Bulls and fifth placed Roosters all sitting on 14 points.
The first grade side will round out the day at 2pm aiming to continue a nearly perfect season, with the side's only fault being a draw against Manildra in Round 8.
