'There's no place like home' is this year's theme for Regional Development Australia Central West's (RDA Central West) annual photography competition.
Applications are now open with applicants encouraged to capture the essence of their hometown.
Chair of RDA Central West, Ruth Fagan, said the competition is a wonderful platform to highlight everything that is special about our region.
"The Central West is a great place to live and we want to see entries that highlight why there is no place like it - this could be a place, person or an event - and entries also don't need to be current," she said.
"We've all spent a lot of time at home due to COVID-19 but I think it has led to a deeper appreciation for the Central West so I'm looking forward to seeing this year's entries and celebrating our region."
Entry into the 2021 'Central West is Best' Photography Competition is free and open to all ages and photographic abilities.
The competition is divided into two Junior (under 18yo) and Open (18yo and over), with a First Prize and Runner-Up in each category.
Two 'special mention' entries will also be drawn across all entries, both Junior and Open.
Entries are now open and close 5pm AEST on Friday, September 24.
