The application was for a replacement front door on the museum's main building.
"Our new door is painted in a red colour with a tinted glass panel for the top half of the door," CHS and M Management Committee member Jill McDonald said.
"The tinted glass panel has improved our security and ability to welcome visitors to the Museum," Mrs McDonald said.

"With being able to keep the door closed, it has also given us energy efficiency, being warmer in winter and cooler in the summer.
"Our old wooden door was warped and ill fitting, in the door frame.
"A big 'thank you' to Nick Daly, whose quote was submitted and for his refitting of the new door.
"We would welcome interest from members of the community of Canowindra, to come and join with our small group of enthusiastic volunteers, to help to discover and create a keeping place for Canowindra's history for future generations," Mrs McDonald said.
