NSW Ambulance Chief Inspector Peter Rowlands, Duty Operations Manager and Service Delivery will be the guest speaker at the Australia Day celebrations.
Mr Rowlands was awarded an Ambulance Service Medal for his outstanding service to NSW Ambulance as part of last year's Australia Day awards.
Stationed in Parkes, Mr Rowlands' job entails covering a large area of the Central West.
He will be delivering his thoughts on what Australia means to him over his 53 years of service in the NSW Ambulance.
Mr Rowlands will also present the Australia Day Awards to the worthy community recipients.
The Canowindra Australia Day celebrations will commence at 1.30pm on January 26 at the Canowindra Services Club Community Hall.
Everyone is welcome to attend this celebration.
Councillor Jenny Weaver will begin the ceremony welcoming and introducing the official guests.
The Australia Day Prayer will then be given by Rev. Joy Harris.
This will be followed by an Acknowledgement of Country and then the national anthem performed on screen by Indigenous performers.
Mr Rowlands will then give his Australia Day address, which will be followed by the traditional cutting of the Australia Day cake.
The national anthem will be played again and then the community will be invited back into the Canowindra Services Club for activities and entertainment.
