COVID cases numbers have remainder in single digits each day however have been fluctuating since January 1, 2022.
There was one case identified in the 2804 postcode on January 1, followed by three more on January 3.
Four COVID cases were identified on January 4 and a further six were recorded January 6.
The highest amount of cases recorded in a single day for Canowindra came on January 7, with a total of seven cases.
One cases was reported on January 8 before a further four were identified on January 9.
Two cases were recorded on January 10, three on January 11 and two on January 12.
There four cases on both January 13 and January 14 respectively, a further two on January 15 and one on January 16.
Looking across the Western NSW Local Health District (WNSWLHD) there were 308 new cases identified by PCR testing to 8pm on January 17.
There were two in the Cabonne local government area (LGA), including one in Molong.
Dubbo had 135 cases, while Orange recorded 36 cases.
"Confirmed cases remain high but it's likely there are more undiagnosed cases," WNSWLHD said.
"Regardless of the confirmed number in your town, plan and practice your COVID-safety measures.
"Get your vaccinations. Wear a mask indoors. Wash and sanitise your hands frequently. Practice physical distancing and avoid crowds or gatherings where you are aren't able to. Use QR codes. Be particularly careful around older people, or people with health conditions.
"Have a plan ready for if you, or someone in your household, needs to self-isolate with COVID-19, or while waiting for test results."
As of January 12, residents are able to recorded positive rapid antigen tests (RAT) via the Service NSW app.
If you don't have access to the app, you can report results on the Service NSW website or call Service NSW on 13 77 88. Do not attend a service centre.
RAT results for each local health district are unavailable.
A total of 39 people across WNSWLHD are receiving treatment for COVID-19 in hospital, while three people have been admitted to an intensive care unit.
