Minkey: Depp was our very keen Minkey man this week. He put in a big effort on his elimination skills before moving onto the step & hit and then step & push work. Accuracy still needing some work but plenty of strength demonstrated and a great attitude towards improving his technique. Well done Depp.

Intermediates: Cowra Glass 3 v Marion Rose Solicitors 0
Marion Rose Solicitors: It’s never easy to win a game without a full side but the Roses did well to keep Glass to 1 goal until well into the second half. There were chances for Roses to equalize but the shots were just off and they remained scoreless. However there were bits of brilliance from all players. Bianca played well and gave good passes up field to keep the forwards moving toward goal. Brodie was everywhere trying to keep the Glass mob away from his goal area. Daniel worked hard in defence and attack with Josh, Zane and Hayden adding their bit through the middle and up front. Nikita makes great improvement each week and is a force to be reckoned with in the goal area. Mitch used his soccer skills at his first appearance as goalie and stopped some good shots and put more experienced forwards off their game. Annastacia has also gone from strength to strength each week and she defended like a demon and put many great balls through to middle of the field. Jessica is dogged in a tackle and makes up for her size in determination. Best players were Nikita Morandin, Bianca Howlett and Daniel White.
Cowra Glass: Best players were John Clarke, Joel Watt and Maddy Jones

Canowindra Country Energy 4 v Aussie Hotel 2
Canowindra Country Energy: Best players were Jacque Kinsela, Mark Sutherland and Anna White
Aussie Hotel: Best players were Peter Langdon, Tim Tarrant and Cindy Ward
LJ Hooker 3 v Townhouse Hotel 1
Townhouse Hotel: Best players were Belinda Burgin, Amy Brydon and Donna Newcombe
LJ Hooker: Unreal game. Playing short the team hunkered down and got on with the job of keeping the Townies out of the goal and scoring a few of their own on the way. It wasn’t an easy task but with a number of great saves from the athletic and flexible Daniel in goal LJ were always going to be hard to beat. Andrew had a great game and kept running the opposition down, taking the ball and then off with it. Anna had a huge game in defence, and with Hayden made it difficult for Townie to get into the circle for a shot. Jaimie, Laura, Mitch and Josh worked well together to keep the pressure onin the mid field and up front making many forays into the circle. Mitch scored 2 goals and Andrew one. Great game to watch. Best players were Andrew White, Mitchell Gray and Laura Butterworth
Railway Hotel 4 v Cowra Rugby Eagles 1
Railway Hotel: Strong performance by Railway today although the start was a little scratchy. Andy Brown was back from injury and took up the left wing role for most of the first half before converting to fullback and putting in a very credible performance in defense. Blake Falconer made a welcome appearance for the side and had a busy time at right wing. The rest of the initial front line-up comprising Ben Cooley, Brody & Kyle Hannan kept the forwards surging ahead and resulted in points from Kyle after a solid build up from Glen “Spoon” Falconer in midfield and good directive play by Ben. Subs this week, and a few positional changes brought Meg Cooley onto left wing and Elle Manton kept a tidy right side at half. A dominant display by Railway particularly up front in the second half and our defense was generally equal to the task, although for reasons unknown (best put down to bad technique), Brenda Hannan saw fit to smack every free hit directly at opposing Lisa Robbo who thankfully either stood on it or was wrapped up by reliable Elle. Carole Brown and Annie Garlick, unstoppable fullbacks in arms, took the chance of a nice rest today and subbed themselves off in the second period leaving Spoon and Andy to hold the fort, doing a fine job. Dana Hannan was the all-rounder after starting at wing, working through a spot at fullback and then shifting into centre forward at second half. The front line kicked along nicely in the second half with another goal to Kyle, one to Ben and finally a penalty stroke awarded after a great power play by Dana (which Kyle slotted passed the keeper). In the dying seconds we were a bit patchy with opposition player Justin working passed three untidy defenders to pot an easy goal. It only looked easy as poor goalkeeper Jo Nobes slipped on the greasy surface and extending body parts more than expected, finished the game with a nasty injury. Thanks to Rugby Eagles’ big blokes Justin and Budgie for chairlifting our GK off the field. Best players were Kyle Hannan, Elle Manton and Meg Cooley.
Cowra Rugby Eagles: Best players were Shane Budge, Ben Jones and James Garling.
This Week’s Draw: There is no hockey.
