Go Tigers Go!!!!! Well what a super effort by all our smallest Tigers. They have had a great season with a lot of newcomers. These Tigers showed some great spirit and sportsmanship, it is a shame that for such a young and happy team their spirit was crushed by an adult who thought that fairness is not for us all. Anyway, in the true spirit of the game the Tigers played their hardest as usual. Callum scored a try with Jake Hutchings kicking 2 goals. Shae, Wesley, Miles and Sam all made some excellent tackles. Max, Jack, Jai and Will all had great games with some hard running. Every player plays their best week in and week out. We are as proud of these Tigers as if they were our own, Well Done Boys!!!! Final score, Condo 30 - Tigers 10. Go Tigers Go!!!
Services Club U10's
"Who are we in the Black and Gold"? Canowindra Services Club Under 10's thats' who. Can you believe this team, their on fire, smokin hot. What an unbelievable effort was put in by this young team at Condobolin last Saturday. It was fantastic to see them all playing so well together, all running up together in formation, assisting in tackles, putting on a brilliant display of football for everyone to watch. They all deserve a huge round of applause and if they keep playing to the same standard look out grand final day. Go the mighty tigers "ROAR". The first try of the game was scored from dummy half by Talby Upton which Bradyn Cassidy successfully converted. Jumara Cutmore caught the ball in goal running the full length of the footy field to score our second try which he also successfully converted. A brilliant effort Jumara. Bradyn Cassidy went over to score our third try which Alex Willson successfully converted making the half time score 18 - nil Canowindras' way. Bradyn Cassidy scored his second try for the game from the kick off and Rohan Toole successfully converted it. We dropped the ball giving Condo possession. They got to play the ball but dropped the it after the first pass giving possession back to Canowindra. Alex Willson scored the teams fifth try of the game which Harry the Magnificent Whatman converted. Alex went over again to score his second try of the game which was unsuccessfully converted by Talby Upton making the score at this time 34 - nil Canowindras' way. Harry Whatman wasting no time to score his first try which Bailey Cain successfully converted. Harry Whatman flying along to score his second try of the game which Dan the Man Friend converted. A beautiful pass by Bailey Cain to Talby Upton who narrowly missed scoring his second try. Talby once again receiving possession of the ball from dummy half making a quick run to score again which Zak Whitehead successfully converted. Dan Friend had a great run making 10 metres. Jumara Cutmore also making some great ground throughout the game. Bailey Cain scoring with Jordi Brown successfully converting. Josh Treyhurn scoring our final try of the game which Robert Weigold successfully converted making the final score 64 - nil Canowindras' way. Canowindra Services Club Under 10's did not have to do a single tackle at all during the full second half.
Great games in defence during the first half of the game were Harry Whatman, Tylah Reid, Sam McKenzie, Warren Ackroyd, Alex WIllson, Rohan Toole, Josh Treyhurn and Bradyn Cassidy. Tara Jenkins also showing her willingness to assist her team mates with their tackles, you go girl. Everyone having a great day running the ball, Harry Whatman, Talby Upton, Jumara Cutmore, Dan Friend, Bailey Cain, Alex Willson, Zak Whitehead, Tylah Reid and Robbie Weigold. Absent from the team was Louis O'Keeffe.
A huge round of applause also to the teams Manager, Brock White, for all the water running he provided throughout the game. Final score Tigers 64 - Condo 0.
Players Player this week Bradyn Cassidy. Good luck this week when you play Trundle at home.
Canowindra Hotels U11's
What a great and close game for the U11's this week. With a path to the Semis, the Tigers showed Condo they will not be a push over. Some great defence by Mick Watt, Jayden, Dean and Josh kept Condo out of the try line, keeping their scoring opportunities to a minimum. Makk, Rohan, Kurt and Tim all made up great ground with some hard runs. Harry, Simon, Zac, Kye and Bailey all chased everything that moved all having good games. Bradyn Cassidy scored 2 tries, with Alex Willson scoring a beautiful try as well. Congratulations on a close but great game. Excellent work Tigers and best of luck throughout the final series. Final score Tigers 14 - Condo 12.
Earsmans Concrete U12's
With the final game of the season for our super 12's, the boys let a chance of success slip through their fingertips when the half time score in this game was only 4 - 0 Condo's way. With the Tigers not being able to make it over the line, Condo made the most of the opportunity and took the score out to 28 - 0. Some hard tackling by Jack Knight, Blake, Hayden, Kain and Mick Clyburn slowed Condo down a bit, but with Condos defence being to strong Tigers runs were to no avail. Harry, Matty, Troy, Nick W and Nick T all made some brilliant runs. Jack B, James W, Jacob D and Jayden all had good games with great improvement throughout the season. All the Tigers have improved a lot this season ready for their next big step to the U14's. Well done Tigers you all played with great sportsmanship and all the effort in the world. It would be great to see the boys all next season trying to better improve their footy skills and have some great fun along the way. Final score Condo28 - Tigers 0. Good effort Tigers!!!!!
Canowindra Produce U14's
With a renewed attitude and a steely determination to end the season with a win, the boys produced the goods to beat Condo 28 - 20. Scoring 7 tries to4, it was an emphatic win. Unfortunately we could not buy a goal to really seal a comprehensive win, the score would have been 42 - 20. Try scorers were Jesse 3, Chubs 2, Brodie 1 and Mitchell 1. The whole team played with pride, power, passion and teamwork that had to be seen to be believed. They did themselves proud and can hold their heads high and well satisfied with an effort of such a high standard. The tackling was ferocious, the running of the ball was the hardest all year, the backing up of the ball player, the passing movements, the talk, the help your team mate ethic really made your coaches proud. If only we could have played like this all year!!! With more than our fair share of injuries, other commitments at crucial times meant we could not have our full team on the paddock all the time. We have been real contenders in this comp and have given them a great shake up. A BIG THANKS to all the boys in the team, the U12's that backed up, the teams staff: Baz, Brett, Sue, committee members, Pete, Nicky and everyone else who helped. Also a Big Thanks to all the parents for their efforts in travelling to training and the games. Finally, Best of luck to all the Tigers teams left in the Finals Series. GO TIGERS!!! Thanks for a great season signing off - Mick Vitnell (U14's coach 2006).
Kitome U16's
On Saturday the boys headed to Condo with what was sure to be a thrilling match. Condo were first to put points on the board but Tigers where quick to follow with Cho bursting over the line. Adrian, Kain, & Piggy were all working hard in defence keeping Condo out from their try line Jacob Hodge was once again making some great ground for the Tigers and kept Condo on the back foot. Brad Bowman made a big improvement this week working hard on his hit-ups. All the hard work paid off when Piggy scored under the post with Aaron Woolly was once again on target with a great conversion and the tigers took the score to 18-6 at half time.
The boys came back in the second half ready to win this game but a few dodgy calls by the referee gave Condo the advantage and they ran in a try, score now 18-10. The boys now had reason to smash through and beat Condo and their officials. With some great fast play Alex Myers was over the line & Aaron converted making the score 24-14 with a nice lead. Adrian, Abram and Mozz where also made a big improvement in their defence, with some great tackles, Cho and Ronny where once again charging up the field busting through Condos defence with some great passing by Nick. Alex and Kain soon put Piggy over the line again. The young tigers are playing some great football and working great as a team. Under 16's will have another tough game on the hands on Wednesday night at 7pm at Forbes and will also play another game on Saturday at home against Condo so come along and see just what these young tigers are capable of. Final score Tigers 30 - Condo 20. Well done Tigers!!!!!
