This quickly leads us in to Wednesday's quiz.
We would like to know whether at any stage of the day did coach MJ Turner smile?
Read on because the last time these two sides met, Condobolin won chasing a Cowra total of 145 losing only 5 of their wickets.
Cowra captain Peter Guthrie did the usual by losing the toss again prompting assistant coach Joel Mewburn to suggest Peter might concentrate on tossing coins in the off season.
Condobolin chose to bat.
Alistair Rathbone took the new ball for Cowra and bowled a beautiful over first up beating the bat on several occasions.
Matt Whitby opened the other end and both bowlers bowled good line and length for 8 overs.
In his 3rd over Rathbone got one through Yeoman's for 4 and it was 1 for 11.
It wasn't until another 20 runs had been scored that Cowra were successful again when Pete Guthrie bowled the other opening batsman Wright for 10.
The score went along to 2 for 36 in the 11th over when danger man Dargan was caught brilliantly by Rathbone off Emily Kershaw for 8.
Dargan had scored 60 not out last time the teams met.
It was 3 down for 36.
Spin was introduced in the over before first drinks when James "C'mon Cowra" Reed came on and was immediately successful when Rathbone again held on to a terrific catch that was belted at him.
They went to drinks with 4 wickets captured for 50.
Reedy continued his stint and was again successful in his 2nd and 3rd overs.
Brad Turner took a good catch off his bowling and so did Rohan Blair at slip.
At this stage Reed had 3 for 7.
Ryan Downing came on unannounced, however as Ryan has proved time and again at this level, he became a thorn for Condobolin batters.
Ryan took a wicket in his 2nd over to have Condo 7 for 61 when Sloane spooned one up to "Sis" Kershaw who held on to the ball only to have wicketkeeper Hudson give her a hug as a reward.
But Reedy hadn't finished taking his wickets and with the score at 68 James bowled Pawsey to give him a bag of 4.
Matt Whitby was reintroduced and removed Brasnett who top scored with 12 when Rathbone took his third catch of the innings.
Downing picked up 2 of the last 3 wickets to fall and when Ryan bowled Hills it was all over.
Cowra had restricted Condobolin to a score of 89 in 34 overs.
It had been a great effort from the bowlers and the fielding had been first class on a difficult surface.
All the bowlers were successful with Reed finishing with 4 for 14, Downing 3 for 4 and Rathbone, Whitby, Kershaw, Guthrie all taking 1 wicket.
After lunch the old firm of Brad Turner and Pete Guthrie strode to the middle with advice from MJ Turner to play sensibly.
The boys must have listened to some things the coach had said because they settled and defied everything thrown at them.
At drinks after 15 overs the openers were still there and had put on 39 but the best was yet to come.
Both boys remained together to achieve the desired target without losing their wickets.
As in the semi against Parkes the week before both Turner and the skipper had got the runs winning by 10 wickets.
Turner was 31 and Guthrie 49 not out and the score 0 for 90.
This had been a terrific win and although only the two boys batted it had been a real team effort as every week had been.
Joel Mewburn was all smiles and Turner Snr was too busy congratulating all of his players.
As Secretary of Lachlan Council, Greg Morrissey said in after match speeches the better team won on the day.
At this stage MJ nearly smiled.
Special awards were presented to Ryan Downing for taking 5 for 3 against Parkes in January and to Peter Guthrie who was considered Under 14 Rep Player of the Year.
All Cowra players received their winners plaque from Morrissey before heading home the winners.
Congratulations to all associated with the team, especially Mick Turner and Joel Mewburn.
See you next season when we do it all over again.
