That's the idea behind a different way of encouraging younger people to church currently underway with the combined communities of the Canowindra Uniting and Anglican Church.
Café Church will be held in the Uniting Church Hall, with light meals, some singing, drama, discussion and worship, explained Audrey Farley, Canowindra Anglican Church.
The idea is for a informal, relaxed and casual way to learn and explore more about religion, Mrs Farley said.
"It a lot different than our traditional church worship," Mrs Farley said.
"Because its Palm Sunday and Easter time, we thought it was really opportune to showcase Cafe Church to the community and see if the idea will gain stronger support.
"We really want to encourage and cater for young people. This is casual, relaxed and about getting together."
The idea has operated in nearby towns, including Forbes, and the hope is that it will appeal to members of the Canowindra community.
"Forbes actually has a café down the main street which is open on Saturday but we are a smaller town and don't quite have those resources.
"We hope to see as many people as possible there."
Café Church will kick off on April 1, from 6 to 8pm, in the Uniting Church Hall. Along with coffee will be a light meal. All are welcome.
