The family also thanked all the people who helped in so many ways, including messages of sympathy, during their recent sad loss.
Virginia, her family and the community continuously worked to raise thousands of dollars recently to provide funding for the Central West Clinical Trials for Breast and Prostate Cancer.
The research is one Virginia was passionate about and it's hoped the extra funds will allow the necessary infrastructure and staffing to be put into place so local cancer patients can access the latest therapies without needing to travel to Sydney.
Affectionately coined the 'Book Bloodhound,' Virginia was well-renowned for her ability to track down even the toughest of titles.
A lifelong reader and advocate for the power of a novel, Virginia sold more than 30,000 books during the Huge Charity Book Sale.
