-All the work that several parents put in prior to the day - It has been in the planning for three months to organise the gardens, flyers, brochures and signage, organising food tables etc, and cooking for the day. (Ash Wright you are a legend!)
-All the High School helpers and parents on the day, it would not have be able to run without them. The students who gave up hours of their weekend- Will Wright, Kate Gander, Amy Wallace, Adelaide Ellis, Julia Stanley, Regan Hughes, Jake Wythes, Brooke Kinsela, Wade Kinsela, Amelia Holmes, Jen Holmes, Nic Perry, Paige Gaffey, Sarah Clunes, Rachel Wynn, Brayden Fliedner, Tammy Thumthong, Thabiso Ncube and Madi Spencer. There were many positive comments made from community members about students being involved on the day.
-Everyone who braved the heat and visited the gardens.
-all the garden owners who put in an amazing amount of work to get their gardens organised and looking fantastic.
-Liz Mitchell for doing the brochures and flyers.
-Support of local businesses to have the flyers and brochures where people could see them.
-Johnny Lawrence from IGA for donation of several cartons of drinks.
-Jacque and Canowindra High School office staff who printed and folded brochures and laminated signs and garden notes.
-Local newspapers and radio in several towns who freely advertised/wrote articles promoting the day.
We had about 200 admission tickets sold, with children this means over 300 people visited the gardens. The total raised will be over $3000 and this money will help the school in replacing some of the things that were damaged in the recent break in/destruction.
Again thank you to everyone involved it was a fantastic outcome!
