About 7.30pm on Thursday, March 5, motorcyclists riding past contacted emergency services after noticing a fire on a property on Belubula Way, Mandurama, about 25 kilometres west of Blayney.
NSW Rural Fire Service officers attended and stopped the fire from spreading to nearby farmland but a house on the property, built in the 1910s, was destroyed.
The house was unoccupied at the time and no one was injured.
Canobolas Rural Fire Service's Superintendant Arthur Sharp said they believe the fire started inside the house.
Officers attached to Chifley Local Area Command attended and commenced investigations.
As they continue their inquiries into the circumstances leading up to the fire, police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward and contact Bathurst Detectives via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
