On Wednesday, April 1, which is April Falls Day, Canowindra Health Service will be having a falls information stand at the Canowindra Pharmacy from 9am until 1pm.
Members of the community are invited to come along to ask questions, complete a short balance test, and talk to the Pharmacist about medications and health conditions that may increase the risk of falling.
Physiotherapists, Occupational therapists and other Canowindra Health Staff will also be available to answer questions about home environments, footwear, vision problems and strength and mobility issues that can contribute to falling.
Take home pamphlets will also be available.
Alternatively community members are encouraged to contact the Physiotherapy Department on 6340 3017, or the Community Health Centre on 6340 3300 for balance assessments or further information about falls. No referral is necessary and there is no cost for these services.
