A toddler has been taken to hospital in a serious condition after she was run over in the car park of a hotel in Sydney's south.

The toddler was struck by a Hilux 4WD in the car park of the Matraville Hotel on Perry Street, Matraville at 3pm on Monday.
The 42-year-old man behind the wheel of the Toyota was driving at low speed when the girl ran out in from of him from behind another vehicle, police were told.
It's believed the child had been playing in the car park at the time.
NSW Ambulance Paramedics were called and the girl was taken to Sydney Children's Hospital suffering serious abdominal injuries.
The driver was breathtested at the scene and returned a negative result.
He was taken to Prince of Wales Hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.
