The championships were held in Mexico in late September with Sally battling a strong current in the swim and sweltering conditions in the bike and run legs.

Sally competed in similar conditions to those seen in a popular video clip of England’s Brownlee brothers in their run to the finish line at the world titles where one of the brothers assisted the other over the finish line. Sally, who is a member of the Cowra Triathlon Club thanked all who had helped her take part in the titles.

Sally also thanked her family, friends and others who supported her financially.
