Mr Barnes has been following Elvis since the 1950s and will commemorate the 40th anniversary by playing The King all day long.
“No singer will be as good. He could sing anything,” he said.
“I’ll always keep his memory alive.
“He was a gift. He couldn’t even read music.”
Mr Barnes never saw Elvis in concert, but has travelled to Memphis, in the United States, to see The King’s iconic home – Graceland.
He is one of the Central West’s biggest Elvis fans, having collected an array of vinyls, cassettes, CDs, photos and memorabilia.
Mr Barnes has previously impersonated The King for weddings and parties and said that The Wonder of You is his favourite Elvis song.
He plans to spend the day listening to Elvis’ music and watching the movies he starred in.
Elvis Presley died on August 16, 1977, after suffering a heart attack aged just 42.
