Three members, John Davis, John Rue and Ed Wensley, received pins for forty years of active service.
So active in fact, that none of these three men have missed a single meeting in all that time.
At the meeting, Darryl Fliedner passed the presidency to Judy Nelder.
Mr Fliedner said that he had enjoyed his year as President, but said that he regretted the loss of a member of the club.
"The loss of our beloved treasurer, Lion Rodney Crutchett is something I personally miss as the President," said Mr Fliedner.
"Being the President of the club gave me an opportunity to become a better chairman and to get to know my fellow members better.
"I wish to compliment each individual club member who supported me in making my task easier," said Mr Fliedner.
Ms Nelder said that she appreciated the efforts of the whole community to support the club.
"I am looking forward to working with the members to make this coming year as successful as the years gone by," she said.
The winner of the Canowindra Lion of the Year was Ron Cain, and the Bob Watt Memorial Award was Ian Welder.
There were nine members recognised for clocking up 100 hours service.
These were Ron Cain, Yvonne Clark, Clive Hidge, Ed and Graeme Wensley, Ian Welder, John Rue, Ken Perrs and Ben Sonnemen.
Elaine Pearce, Uma Kumar and Christine Baldwin won women's awards.
Over the last year, the Canowindra Lions have given $7 791 to 34 different organisations.
