As usual Canowindra's support of causes such as Camp Quality, has exceeded all expectations.
This is remarkable considering the small size of the town.
The Friday night auction was attended by at least 178 people who bid generously.
The many businesses and community groups which made this major fund raising auction held at the Canowindra Services Club possible, are to be thanked and congratulated for their sponsorships and donations, freely given, resulting in a healthy profit for Camp Quality.
It would be impossible to list all those who gave so generously.
The Services Club and Lions Club have to be acknowledged for their effort on the night which made such an enjoyable social event possible.
It is believed at least 27 tractors travelled the round journey of about 320+km and the variety of machines which passed along Gaskill Street, Canowindra to eventfully bivouac at the show ground was entertaining and would have thrilled the many tractor enthusiasts who watched the parade as it passed by.
It always takes a driving force to make these types of events so successful.
Canowindra's Roy White has to be recognised as one, as without Roy's drive, persistence and initiative in gaining such strong support from Canowindra it is likely, Tractor Trek 2014 and Canowindra would have been a non event.
