With an estimated 2,500 to 5,000 people through the gates, publicity officer Amy Galea said the Canowindra Show Committee was thrilled with the event.
“It was a really fun weekend and everyone said ‘thankyou, thankyou, thankyou, we loved it and can’t wait till next year,” she said.
Mrs Galea said the standard of showgirl entrants was also high again this year, with Amy Wythes taking out Senior Showgirl and Joanna Balcombe winning Junior Showgirl. Maisie Harrison was crowned Little Miss Showgirl.
“The judges said they were really pleased and found it really hard to make a decision,” she said.
While they will now take a well-deserved month break, the committee will soon start planning the 114th Canowindra Show and will be looking for a new president, secretary and treasurer.
Mrs Galea encouraged anyone looking to take on a role or become involved in some way in next year’s show, to attend the next AGM, with a date soon to be announced.
