Moyne's Melissa Delaney said they raised more than $600, beating last year's total.
Orange's Town and Salvation Army bands combined to perform on the night with Alikinetic dancers, Cornerstone and the Moyne Sing-along Ladies also entertaining the crowd.
The resident's choir made their debut, performing three songs.
The 10-strong ensemble will also perform at the Moyne Christmas Eve service.
Santa Claus left the reindeer at home and arrived in style on the back of a truck, much to the delight of the kids.
He made the rounds, bringing joy to punters and residents alike, before heading back to the North Pole.
The master barbecuers of the Canowindra Lions Club kept everyone fed, and a poem written by Moyne resident Alison Rowe was read to the crowd.
Ms Delaney said the highlight of the evening was the "very obvious Christmas spirit".
"It was a wonderful event where residents, staff and the community came together as one to celebrate Christmas," Ms Delaney said.
All money raised goes to the Salvation Army Christmas Appeal.
