Organisers of Canowindra's 2015 Anzac Day Dawn Service have estimated a crowd of 450 people braced a crisp Autumn morning today to mark 100 years since Australian troops first stormed the shores of Gallipoli in WWI.

Canowindra's continuing Anzac Day plans throughout the day:
9a.m. A short Wreath laying service will be held at the Soldier’s Tower at the entrance to the Canowindra Soldier’s Memorial Hospital, with wreaths laid by RSL Sub Branch and the Canowindra Hospital Auxiliary
10.30a.m.Our main service will commence with a march along Gaskill Street, those wishing to march are required to assemble in Tilga Street near the Junction Hotel at 10.30am to form up and march of at approximately 10.45am. The march will finish at Memorial Park, Gaskill Street where our main service will begin approximately at 11am.
Anyone wishing to lay a wreath is to place their wreath on the table near the main entrance to the park and ensure their name is added to the list which will be read out for the Wreath laying ceremony.
Following the wreath laying ceremony there will be a special tribute to the soldiers of the First World War who lost their lives in defence of our country.
