This year was the 27th anniversary of Clean Up Australia Day.
Clean Up Australia Day inspires thousands of Australians to take to their local park, beach, bushland and streets to clean up their local environment.
Students from Years 7 to 11 were given disposable gloves to pick up rubbish. Upon arrival back at school, each student and staff member was given an ice block (funded by the SRC).
In the past 26 years Australians have donated over 31 million hours towards the environment through Clean Up Australia Day and collected over 331 thousand tonnes of rubbish.
