A spokeswoman for the family of Kawa Sweeney told the Seven Network on Thursday the toddler has been unresponsive to a series of tests run by staff at Perth's Princess Margaret Hospital.

On Thursday afternoon, the agonising decision to turn off her life support was confirmed.

"Unfortunately, in spite of all the hopes and prayers Kawa has lost her battle. Family are saying goodbye today," family friend Pearl Tan said.

"We would like to thank everyone who has gone above and beyond in all of this," a statement from the family said.

"Thank you to Grant and Kelly, everyone who helped us in Bali, the medivac team, the doctors and the incredible nurses at Princess Margaret Hospital in the PICU who have been with us 24/7 since arriving in Perth.

The little girl had been in an induced coma since she was found unconscious in a pool on the popular Indonesian tourist island on Sunday morning.

It reportedly took almost two hours before she received any further medical treatment because the first hospital she was sent to did not have sufficient equipment for children.

A GoFundMe campaign was set up on her behalf, asking for donations to cover $42,000 for a Medivac flight to Perth and $18,000 to help with the medical bills, with the online campaign exceeded the goal of $60,000, raising $74,775 by Monday afternoon.

Kawa and her parents left Denpasar airport on a chartered flight to Perth about 1.30pm local time on Monday.

Kawa's father Desmond Sweeney has shared a photograph of the toddler at the family's favourite Newport beach in Sydney's north to his Instagram page, thanking people for their support.

"So much love for our little girl," he wrote.

"We are overwhelmed by your prayers, thoughts and well wishes.

"They are getting us through this difficult time."
