After receiving advice that the trees are in a dangerous condition, Cabonne Council will carry out work to remove the hazard.
The Council’s Community Engagement and Development Manager Dale Jones said the trees in Belmore Street are old and diseased.
“Council has been informed that the trees are in poor condition and could fall without warning,” he said.
“The safety of school students, pedestrians and motorists using Belmore Street is paramount.”
Mr Jones said Council was always reluctant to remove trees but was acting in the interest of public safety.
Belmore Street drop off
As Belmore Street is the drop off and pick up zone for the school students and parents are reminded to take extra care when the work takes place.
If your child is not at the gate waiting or cannot get out of the car on their own then you will need to park further down the road.
Please advise all family members of this situation.
