Canowindra excels at Daroo awards

Canowindra businesses took out five category awards as well as the major award at the 2018 Daroo Awards on the weekend.

The Canowindra Phoenix newspaper was been named the Best Business.

Canowindra Preschool Kindergarten was the winner of the Best Ongoing Business; Eddys of Canowindra took out the Excellence in Accommodation category;  Coco Harvest was recognised for Excellence in Marketing, Advertising and Communications; the Canowindra Balloon Festival for Excellence in Tourism and; the Age of fishes for Business Fostering Disability Inclusion.

Awards chairman Bruce Buchanan said the Daroos continued to go from strength-to-strength, with a record field of finalists this year and the largest crowd ever to attend the presentation dinner in the 19-year history of the awards.

Despite battling extreme weather conditions, including wind gusts of almost 100kmh, a dust storm and rain storm, the event successfully showcased the range of business enterprises in Cabonne and the quality of the staff they employ.
