The Pythons were reduced to a 15-man team before kick-off and the day started out on a sour note, with two tries going Coolah's way before half-time.
From there, the day got more difficult for the Pythons as the Roos continued to score, but the Pythons found some consolation during the game's second half, scoring and converting with the final margin ending up at 18 points.
The Pythons, who already had the first week off due to the withdrawal of Trangie from the Oilsplus competition, will now enjoy an Easter break before hosting the Geurie Goats in a joint fixture with the Cowra-Canowindra women's team at Tom Clyburn Oval.

Platypi women deliver first win
Earlier in the day, the combined Cowra-Canowindra women's team faced a big leveller in the form of a Forbes Platypi team eager to rebound from their first loss of the season, with the Platypi running out winners in a convincing 82-12 victory.
Former Eagle Lillyann Mason-Spice scored three tries for Forbes, with multiple tries also going to Maggie Townsend (three) and Cate Loneragan (two).
Bec Eastaway and Chelsea Amone were the lone scorers for the Python-Eagles, with Tarcia Skinner converting one of her two opportunities.
Forbes' women's coach, Tom Macleay was rapt for his team, in what was the first game the newly formed side had won after a 24-45 loss to the Orange Emus the week prior.
"The amount of points they scored today is the most points any of the Forbes sides have scored this year, so that's absolutely glorious..." he said.
"They should be very proud of themselves, I'm proud of them, the town's proud of them, it doesn't get much better than that."
Macleay, who also coached the second-grade side to win on Saturday afternoon, added that there was still areas with plenty of room for improvement despite the impressive result.
"...there's never perfection in the game of rugby, so [there's] a few little things [to improve on]: slipping off tackles late, fitness and more talk around the field," he noted.
After the Easter break, Forbes will host the West Wyalong Redbacks, while the Python-Eagles will host the Orange Emus women's side at home when they return to try and get their second win for the year.
