Birthday celebrations were held at the Old Vic Inn and featured Canowindra CWA Patron Mary Newman and newly elected CWA State Vice President Judy Houghton.
Branch President Jan Kerr said it was great to see so many members join in the celebrations.
"We had a good turnout of people and a most enjoyable evening. It was wonderful that Mary Newman could come because she's our patron... so it fabulous to have Mary there," Mrs Kerr said.
"Judy's [Houghton] just been elected as a State Vice President, from Central Western region, which is really fantastic."
Mrs Kerr said the group is going from strength, even after more than nine decades of operation.
"It's a really long time for any organisation to keep going," she said.
"There's always lots going on with our Branch, we never stop and we have some truly wonderful members who do an awful lot of work. We are going very well at the moment with our war on waste with the soft plastic recycling, it's a big thing for us at the moment."
She said the secret to the group's success and longevity is inclusiveness.
"I think the thing about CWA is that we are there for everybody, there's no class distinction or anything else, we're just all there to enjoy each other's company and do what we can for the community," Mrs Kerr said.
"I think it's just a great club atmosphere, an atmosphere where women can get out from home or work and enjoy other female company and do things for the community at the same time."
Mrs Kerr said the group welcomes women of any age to join their ranks.
"CWA has a membership for young people, they can come and join. We have a special price for younger people to come and join the organisation, it makes it a lot more accessible for younger people.
"Because we meet at night, then it's a great opportunity for people who might be working or husbands that work in the day time, it's a chance for them to come out in the evening and meet with a lot of like-minded women."
