READ MORE: Donato calls for more police
Member for Orange, Phil Donato, tabled a Notice of Motion in the NSW parliament calling on the government to "immediately install a supervised zebra crossing upon Tilga Street between Canowindra Public School and St Edward's Public School" and that it "notes 13 years of reported inaction by the Government and its failure to appropriately address the many reports of concern for the safety of school children crossing Tilga Street."
Mr Donato also questioned Minister for Regional Transport and Roads, Paul Toole, if consideration would be given to the crossing.
