Falzon has been training in Malta for the past few weeks, and fought in the 2019 EUBC Women's European Championships in Alcobendas, Madrid, Spain.
Her tournament in the Women's Featherweight (57 kilograms) Division ended in the first round with a points-decision loss to Slovenia's Vida Rudolf.
Even if Falzon had won that fight, she would have been forced to fight first seed Stanimira Petrova of Bulgaria.
"I didn't fight my fight," Falzon said. "I fell into her game plan and boxed pretty poorly.
"I've been in a training camp with all the other countries though, so that's been great.
"You end up sparring with all the other boxers after you're eliminated anyway, and England have been particularly good to fight."
Falzon, 31, said the tournament was in preparation for next year's Olympics, where she hopes to fight for Malta. Her father is Maltese, and she holds a Maltese passport for that reason.
Her boyfriend is also Maltese, so she's spent a lot of time in the country over the past seven years.
Falzon will continue training for another bout in Malta on September 14, before returning to Australia in September.
She'll be back on the road in October for the Eindhoven Box Cup in the Netherlands.
