Currently carving out a successful music career as Gordi, Sophie has commenced her own bushfire appeal.
"People are losing their loved ones, their homes and their communities," Gordi said in a post on her facebook page.
"There have been irreparable losses to our wildlife and national parks.
"As a kid I remember my Dad taking the RFS truck that lives in our shed to neighbouring properties to help put out fires.
One hundred percent of all proceeds from her song The Cost, including from her labels Jagjaguwar and Liberation Records and publisher Mushroom Music Publishing will go to the RFS.
