Their bins which have been located at the Foodworks store and HACC office in Gaskill St for nearly two years will be removed.
The main reason is that the market for the recycled plastic has changed and until there is a new market for the plastic it will no longer be collected locally.
This free and unpaid service to the Canowindra community has been very successful and the CWA thank the community for their support.
The last collection of soft plastics at Foodworks, Canowindra will be on Monday, June 1, when the bins will be removed.
After that time we urge people to take their soft plastic to the REDCYCLE bins at Coles and Woolworths supermarkets in Orange and Cowra.
