Event Coordinator Lucy Kirk is encouraging the community to come together and raise their voices, put on an accent or make a captivating speech in an effort to highlight the talents and abilities of the younger generation in our community, and support the fabulous work of the Country Women's Association (CWA).
"The need for innovative and directed projects has become necessary," Ms Kirk said.
"It has been wonderful to see the capability of online platforms as a substitute to face-to-face gatherings, meetings, lectures and classes, and I am hoping that this technology will be an efficient way to round up all the kids in the Central West to watch them perform."
With the cancellation of the Cowra Eisteddfod and the CWA Public Speaking Competition this year, 'Speak Up' is delivering an online version for the kids of the Central West to participate in on August 1 and 2.
The event will be adjudicated by Speech and Drama Association President, Robyn Christmas, with many prizes to be won.
Kids between the ages of 5 and 19 are eligible to enter across four different sections: Poetry Recital, Humorous Monologue, Dramatic Monologue and Original Speech.
