Zone Two to host NSW Pony Club championships

Pony Club NSW announced this week Zone Two will be hosting the annual State One Day Event and Combined Training Championships in October.

Zone Two, which is home to Young, Grenfell, Bribbaree, Canowindra, Cowra, Boorowa, Temora, Cootamundra and Harden Pony Clubs, will be holding the event with the Championships to take place in Harden at the Harden Pony Club grounds.

With the event held in Zone Two it is expected several local riders will take part in the three days of competition.

Zara Hewson from Bribbaree Pony Club and Imogen Thurgate from Canowindra are two riders who are looking forward to the event.

A One Day Event is a combination of dressage, cross country and showjumping with the State Championships holding the comp for eligible riders Under 13 years and up to Associate Level (riders under 25).

Combined training is usually showjumping and dressage or dressage and cross-country jumping.

Entries are expected to open in July.
