The conference featured a guest speaking spot from CWA State President, Stephanie Stanhope and an appearance from Member for Calare, Andrew Gee.
There was also a special presentation to Canowindra's Ruby Arnott, who took out second place in the statewide postcard design section of the schools' international competition for 2019.
Ruby's postcard, which focused on Papua New Guinea, featured a tropical illustration on the front, with a field of flowers and huts.
In her postcard, which she wrote to her mum Rachael, she talked about staying at the Rapopo Plantation Resort on the island of New Britian, where the "ocean is crystal clear".
She also wrote about learning to say hello in tok pisin, seeing Prime Minister James Marope and checking out the rainforest, mountains, volcano and cuisine.
Ruby said she was very excited to place second in the competition.
"It was very exciting when it made it to state, I was very surprised," she said.
"Everyone at school was doing it so I was like "I may as well just try", I didn't think it was going to go anywhere but it did."
She said she learnt a lot about the country.
"I did do a lot of research about it," she said.
"I thought if I was a kid in Papua New Guinea, who would I want to write to? I thought I may as well write to my mum and I just thought of what it would look like and that's what I did for my photo on the front."
Ruby received her award from President Stephanie Stanhope.
"I didn't realise it was going to be in front of the big conference," Ruby said.
"I got there and I was like "Oh my god that's a lot of people", it was very exciting though. I would like to thank the CWA for everything that they've done."
During the conference, Jan Kerr was elected Group President and State Representative for a second year, Celia Klinger was elected Ag and Environment for the first time and Christine McIlvain Publicity Officer again.
