McNamara will lead a squad featuring talents from Cowra, Parkes, Mudgee, Forbes, West Wyalong, Gulgong and the Blue Mountains.
He said it will be a great opportunity to showcase the talents of young cricketers from the Central West.
"I'm happy to be there, I'm sure the boys are too, it's a good opportunity," he said.
"It's a good look for Cowra, [we've got] a few good young cricketers coming up."
McNamara is set to star for the side again after being part of the Chairman's XI last year.
"I played last year, it was a good experience," he said.
The side is set to face Dubbo, Bathurst and Orange sides at the carnival, with a Colts side to be selected following the competition.
The Western Zone Colts team will then play in Albury from January 5 to 7.
McNamara said he and the rest of the Cowra cricketers selected for the squad have taken confidence from playing representative cricket and Saturday cricket with Valleys and Bowling Club.
"We've got some good leaders, we've got Mick Curtale (Cowra Bowling Club captain) and Hooto (Valleys captain Ben Houghton) who are doing a great job I think with us boys, really bringing us through and teaching us a lot," he said.
"Learning off the older boys, seeing what they do, seeing different types of situations that the game is in."
