While state borders have re-opened international travel remains unlikely in the short term.
Jack was recently appointed to the Cabonne Country Tourism Advisory Committee, his appointment to the seven member committee, confirmed at last month's Cabonne Shire meeting.
He will attend his first committee meeting in Molong this Thursday and is looking forward "to hearing everyone else's ideas about promoting the region".
Jack, who is the general manager of Canowindra's Blue Jacket Motel, is also involved with the Canowindra Balloon Challenge, Canowindra Services Club Board and the Canowindra Business Chamber.
COVID-19, he believes, has given the entire region an opportunity to really promote itself.
"People didn't realise what was out this way, they've been really surprised and being able to capitalise on that has been really good," he said.
"If we can develop that and keep people coming this way it will be really good," he added.
On a more local level Jack says he would love to see a "more inclusive plan from tourism businesses in town, more of a connective feel".
"With the ballooning they're really quite good, offering packages, people buy from the balloon flights and then they pay us (for accommodation), making it a much easier experience for the customer.
"If there was a bit more of that in the town it would be good, I just don't know how exactly that would work, outside of getting everyone on the same page."
And Jack is not deterred by the fact he'll be the youngest face on the committee.
"It's never been a challenge for me before," Jack said.
"I'm on a few other committees, I think it's good, most people in Canowindra know me and most people are respectful of other people's opinions.
"Everyone on the committee just wants to benefit the region," he said.
Cabonne Shire General manager said, in a report to last month's meeting, the new appointees: "All demonstrate a high level of experience and diversity that Cabonne Country Tourism Advisory Committee is seeking."
"There varying professions and skill set will be advantageous to the committee," he added.
Canowindra's Jan Kerr is also a member of the committee.
