Cr Weaver's comment was made during discussion at Cabonne's meeting last month when $10,000 in sponsorship for the Eugowra Mural weekend was approved.
"The number of people I've spoken to over a period of time that have visited the murals are so enthralled with them, it is a credit," she said in reference to the weekend's organisers.
The Eugowra Most Wanted Mural Weekend will be held from May 7 to 9 with Eugowra hosting a large number of artists and sign writers to visit and paint murals.
Over the weekend there will be over 20 artists attending to paint the murals.
There will also be a Murals Market on the Saturday with handmade goods, plants and food to complement the new murals.
Organisers expect more than 1,500 people to attend.
Cr Ben Jones told the council meeting the $10,000 sponsorship stretched much further than next weekend.
"If you look at this it is $10,000 but it is a greater benefit than just the weekend event for the (Eugowra) community and the shire, It beautifies the town," Cr Jones said.
The Mural Markets will be hosted on the banks of the Mandagery Creek with stalls selling high quality handmade goods, plants and fine foods.
